Billy Williams had one of the sweetest swings ever seen on a baseball diamond and used it to carve out an impressive record over fifteen seasons in the CKL. Williams played a strong role in delivering CKL championships to the Knights in 1967 and the Gold Sox in 1972. Upon his retirement Williams was second all time in hits with 2709; third in runs batted in with 1508, doubles with 482 and extra base hits with 937; sixth in triples, 86; and seventh in home runs with a total of 369 (7^th). He led the league in extra base hits twice and topped the circuit once each in doubles, RBI and slugging. He was elected CKL MVP in 1968.
