Billy Williams had one of the sweetest swings ever seen on a baseball diamond and used it to carve out an impressive record over fifteen seasons in the CKL. Williams played a strong role in delivering CKL championships to the Knights in 1967 and the Gold Sox in 1972. Upon his retirement Williams was second all time in hits with 2709; third in runs batted in with 1508, doubles with 482 and extra base hits with 937; sixth in triples, 86; and seventh in home runs with a total of 369 (7th). He led the league in extra base hits twice and topped the circuit once each in doubles, RBI and slugging. He was elected CKL MVP in 1968.
