Al
Kaline had a fourteen year career in the
CKL, appearing as a regular for eleven seasons. He
contributed with his bat and glove to the
fine Diablos teams of the sixties and the Thunder in 1970 and 1971.
Always a
threat at the plate he retired with a .300 career average, including
302
doubles and 184 homers. He led the league in doubles with 46 in 1961
and was
third in on base percentage in 1967 with a .406 mark. At the time of
his
retirement, Kaline was ninth all time in
batting
average with .300.
