LEAGUE NEWS

1974 SEASON UNDERWAY!

The Classic Keeper League began it's 14th season this week. Pre season favorites appear to be the Knightsand Dust Bunnies in the Johnson Division, the Diablos in the Cartwright Division with the Wranglers having a shot, the Legends and Skipjacks in the Hulbert, and the Spikes in the Chadwick. Of course teams have come from nowhere  in the past to win and that could happen again this year. Good luck to all!

PITCHING HIGHLIGHTS

Bruce DalCanton made his 1974 pitching debut a memorable one by allowing the Diablos batters only one hit in a complete game shutout. Ralph Garr hit a seeing eye single up the middle leading off the seventh inning, the ball managing to elude a leaping DalCanton and then a diving try by shortstop Mark Belanger. DalCanton walked three and fanned two in coming within an eyelash of CKL immortality.
