time CKL star Rusty Staub had a tremendous October for the Joes. Staub
batted .346 on 18 for 52, added a dozen walks for a .477 on base
percentage and slammed six doubles and three homers for a .635 slugging
average. He drove in eleven runs and scored nine times. PITCHER OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER ![]() JON MATLACK, SPIKES Jon
Matlack helped secure the Chadwick Division title for the Spikes by
going 3-0 in three starts during October. He completed all three games,
including one shutout. He posted a miserly 0.67 ERA and 0.93 WHIP in 27
innings of work. He struck out 17 batters while walking only four and
not allowing a home run.
